Easter

I really missed being home for Easter. They don't celebrate it here. You couldn't find any candy eggs or decorations or Easter Basket fixin's in stores anywhere. Fortunately I have an amazing mother who sent me an amazing Easter basket in the mail. It was wonderful to get all the corny little things that we have gotten in our baskets since 1990, and some chocolate eggs too!

I brought my bunny glasses to school to let my kids try them on. They don't know what Easter is, but they liked the glasses. I have pictures of most of my kids wearing them, but for the most part they all look the same.

We celebrated Easter at my church with a big BBQ. Everyone brought a dish to share, and they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. It was for sure a different kind of Easter meal than I have ever had, but it was fun. It was probably the biggest potluck meal that I have ever been to, with around 250 people. Later that day on the subway, the man I was sitting next to gave me a soft-boiled egg. I guess that they have to use real eggs. That was kind of weird.

Next week we will be going on a field trip to a transportation museum. We'll see how much fun that will be....

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Love you all!
